The challenge: connected restaurant operations

Restaurant teams coordinate orders, reservations, menus, hours and staff access throughout a service. BellaVita’s restaurant-facing product brings those tasks into a single mobile workflow, while a separate consumer experience is being developed.

The product challenge was to organize day-to-day work for different restaurant roles in one interface and prepare the data foundation for a future consumer connection.

What TowerHouse built

The restaurant manager app is organized around a dashboard and dedicated areas for orders, reservations, menus and financial information. Restaurant staff can switch between locations they have access to, with roles for administrators, managers and operators.

Additional workflows cover opening hours, team access, promotions, feedback and settings. The app and shared data layer are designed so restaurant operations can connect with BellaVita’s separate consumer experience as that product develops.

A staged product rollout

BellaVita’s restaurant manager app has been released. Its separate consumer app has not been released, so the current product story is the restaurant-facing experience.

The manager app provides a foundation for the broader platform as the consumer side develops. This case focuses on its working operations features without claiming consumer adoption or business outcomes that have not been measured.
